Don't make final and fatal decision. Give him an opportunity to change everything. When he returns and tells you that he has coped with his addiction, give him a chance, but do it only once. Otherwise it will be a farce.
The main thing here is not to overdo. If your husband takes this problem keenly, don't complicate his state. Demonstrate your support but let him realize that it is up to him to decide what he would do further.
